Kate Middleton Remains Pregnant in Hospital, Prince William Visits

Kate Middleton is pregnant and in the hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum and her hubby Prince William paid a visit to her on Tuesday. Middleton is at London's King Edward V11 private hospital.

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a severe form of morning sickness and MedlinePlus states that the cause of the illness is thought to be because of fast rising blood levels of the hormone called HCG, released by the Placenta.

Middleton has also canceled her upcoming appearances to stay put in the hospital. A St. James Palace rep said to US Weekly that Middleton, 30, will cancel her appearance at the ICAP Charity Day in London on December 5, the Winter Whites Gala in aid of Centerpoint on December 8 and the British Military Tournament at Earl's Court in London on December 9.

E! News reported that Kate is only expected to stay in the hospital for a few days and then will rest from home. Though Middleton's schedule has been put on hold, Prince William's is as busy as ever. E! News reported that a palace representative said that William will "continue the current tour of duty with the Search and Rescue Force" through next summer. Kate and Will are scheduled to attend the premiere of "The Hobbit" in London on Dec. 12 but there is no word on to whether or not Middleton will be well enough to attend by then.

US Weekly reported that a royal source said, "Trying for a baby has been their priority. They're both excited to be focusing on a new chapter in their lives."

US Weekly reported St. James Palace said in a statement that, "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."
