Passenger Manners 101: How To Not Annoy Flight Attendants

Flight attendants deserve medals for handling annoying passengers every time. As passengers, it's also a must to think about how the cabin crew is feeling. They're also people so here are some ways on how to not annoy flight attendants.

Never Flirt With The Crew. It's nice to give compliments to cabin crews as it would somehow brighten up their day but flirting is far more different than that. Flight attendants are trying their best to cater to everyone's needs as professionals so flirting with them is just an insult on their part.

Don't Complain About Delayed Flights. It's okay to ask why the flight is delayed because the cabin crew is somehow informed about it. But if you try to complain about your flights being delayed, it's not the flight attendants' fault. According to CNN, the cabin crew is not held responsible for delays caused by weather.

Don't Bring Heavy Carry-on Luggage. A lot of passengers would try to bring their oversized carry-on luggage with them on board to avoid long lines on the baggage carousel. If you choose to do so there's no problem with that but make sure that you can carry it by yourself when you stow it on the overhead bins. It's not every flight attendant's responsibility to carry it for you.

Make A List Of Your Requests. There are passengers who just love making requests all the time. Allwomenstalk states that it's not nice to call on flight attendants all the time. Make sure that you ask for requests all at once so the crew can attend to other people's needs.

Never Ask Flight Attendants To Babysit. It's always a must for parents to keep an eye on their kids. It's not included in the flight attendants' responsibilities to babysit. If it's an emergency then maybe it's an exception but make sure that it's really important.

The next time you ride a plane, spare a thought for these flight attendants because they are hardworking people trying to make a living. They're just normal people like everyone else.
