‘Kung Fu Yoga’ Dominates Foreign Box Office; Jackie Chan’s Stunt Team Reunite After A Decade

"Kung Fu Yoga", Jackie Chan's new released movie was able to dominate the foreign box office with a rank of $51.4 million. This action-comedy film represents the union of two of the largest film markets in the world, which are China and India. It was also backed up with companies in both countries and has resounded audiences from both countries having gross sales of $177.9 million globally.

Further, China has been noticed as a large contributor to the moving business of movies. In the recent years, there had been growths but there were also fears which ignited in 2016 that the after ticket sales of the country begun to slow down, Variety reported. However, there is a sign of a rebound lately. The box office is up for more than 25% and February will kick off "Kung Fu Yoga" with a high note.

On the other, this recent action-comedy film has been a reunion for Chan and his stunt teams after a decade of not being together. Their reunion had been a tear-jerking tribute for the entire group. One of their photos has gone viral on the internet. These stuntmen were just regular people but more than that, they were Chan's brothers.

It was last year in November; the 62-year old actor was being awarded an honorary Oscar award. It was during his acceptance speech when he had thanked the members of the stunt team for the loyalty and devotion to the craft, India Times reported.

He also added that after his 56 years of being in the film industry, he has able to make more than 200 films. As his way of returning the favor with his stunt men, and while some worked with him since 1970's, he paid tribute to the daredevil moving video. Jackie Chan's Stuntmen Association was formed in 1976 when a group of martial artists started working regularly with him.
