A woman who was accused of stealing money from lottery winner Abraham Shakespeare and then killing him could get kicked out of her own murder trial for being accused of making facial gestures to the jury in order to communicate with them, reported ABC News.
Dee Dee Moore, 40, the Florida woman, was charged with first-degree murder after being accused of shooting Shakespeare, 47. She reportedly befriended the lottery winner after he won $30 million in the Florida lottery. When Shakespeare had used up a lot of his winnings, Moore reportedly agreed to manage his money, but prosectors on the case are accusing Moore of stealing his money and then killing him. He was reported missing in 2009 and a few months later Shakespeare's body was found in 2010 under a concrete slab in Moore's backyard.
ABC News reported that Judge Emmett Battles issued her a final warning saying, "Miss Moore, I've cautioned you throughout these proceedings," Battles said in court. "I'm warning you. I think I'm going to make it clear for the last time."
The Daily Mail reported that Shakespeare's family did not report him missing for seven months. During that seven month period, Moore reportedly lied to Shakespeare's family and friends and told them she had seen him around town and also paid other people to tell them that they had seen him.
The Daily Mail reports that her attorney Byron Hilleman said that there is no evidence that ties Moore to the gun that was used in the shooting and no eyewitness who can testify that she shot Shakespeare.
Lawyers say, according to The Daily Mail, that people owed Shakespeare millions of dollars that he let them borrow after he won the lottery.
