Royal Caribbean is jumping on the unlimited alcohol package bandwagon as they're testing out a new all-you-can-drink package on some ships. They're also testing out a new unlimited internet package.
Royal Caribbean is testing out another all-you-can-drink alcohol package. Royal Caribbean does not have too many details about the package as of yet, according to the Royal Caribbean blog.
"We do not have final details on which ships would receive the packages at this time or what those packages would look like," a Royal Caribbean spokesperson said.
However, passengers on board the Allure of the Seas, the world's biggest cruise ship, said the unlimited alcohol package is being offered for $55 per person per day, with an additional 15 percent gratuity. If one person in a cabin wants to purchase the plan, all of those above the legal drinking age must purchase the package to prevent sharing.
According to the blog, the package includes all house wine, beers under $6.25, fountain sodas, well/call or premium brands of liquor and frozen drinks. Room service, specialty coffee, minibar drinks, canned sodas, bottled water and juices are not included in the plan.
This isn't the first time Royal Caribbean had tried out an unlimited alcohol package. They had an unlimited beer, wine and alcohol package on three overseas ships last year.
Other cruise lines like Carnival and Norwegian have also tested out unlimited alcohol is recent months.
In addition to the unlimited alcohol package, an unlimited internet is also reportedly being test on Allure of the Seas. A passenger said the unlimited internet package costs $149 per week.
Royal Caribbean would not provide further details about the package and which ships it is available on.
