Filmmaker Tyler Perry has been sued by an author for allegedly taking the plot of his movie "Good Deeds" from her book. The author, Terry Donald, said that Perry based his film from her book, "Bad Apples Can be Good Fruit," Reported Reuters.
Donald is suing Perry for $225,00 as well as an injunction which would require the company to add credit to her book in the opening and closing credits of the movie. She also asked for an accounting of how much the movie made. Reuters reported that the film made around $35 million in the box office after it was released in February. The movie stars Perry as "businessman Wesley Deeds is jolted out of his scripted life when he meets Lindsey, a single mother who works on the cleaning crew in his office building," says its IMDB page. The film also stars Thandie Newton as Lindsey and actress Gabrielle Union.
Reuters reported that in 2010 Perry was also accused of using and changing and using Johnny Tyrone Stringfield's gospel song on the sitcom, "Meet the Browns" TMZ reported.

Perry is a Director, Producer and Writer who has starred in a number of movies including 2009's "I Can Do Bad All by Myself," and 2005's "Diary of a Mad Black Woman."
