Psy Beats Bieber: 'Gangnam Style' Becomes Most-Viewed YouTube Video of All Time

Psy beat Bieber! The South Korean didn't knock out Justin Beieber with one of his horse dance kicks, but he did take the YouTube crown from the popstar as "Gangnam Style" is now the most viewed YouTube video of all time.

Psy's "Gangnam Style" is now more popular than Justin Bieber's "Baby" which topped YouTube charts since July 2010. As of now, "Gangnam style" has 826,061,391 views while Bieber's "Baby" has 805,262,057.

Psy shared his excitement over the news on Twitter.

"‪#GangnamStyle just became the most watched video ‪@YouTube!! ‪#History," Psy tweeted on Friday.

Bieber's "Baby" is still pretty popular as it receives 350,000 to 500,000 views a day, but it can't keep up with "Gangnam Style's" growing popularity. Psy's video receives seven to 10 million views daily, according to the Youtube Trends blog.

Psy got his early hits from South Korean fans when the video was first posted in July. Psy was already a big singer in the country, but his fame grew when word of "Gangnam Style" hit the United states and the rest of the world.

While Psy may have the most viewed video, Bieber still has the most viewed channel on YouTube. Psy's channel has one billion views while Bieber has three billion.

Bieber didn't comment on losing the title, but he did flood his Twitter feed with reminders to his fans to watch his interview with Oprah. He also met Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harpe and received criticism for wearing overalls and a hat during the encounter.

"Gangnam Style" has been parodied several times as everyone attempts to try out Psy's fun horse dance. "Gangnam Style" has even been used in holiday light displays.
