The last episode of "Lucifer" Season 2 before the show goes on a three-month break has provided some drama with Lucifer (Tom Ellis) returning to hell to in order to save Chloe Decker's (Lauren German) life. He also discovered that everything has been set up, even his relationship with Chloe.
According to a report from Yahoo, episode 13 showed Lucifer doing something which he had been "dreading" to do since arriving on Earth, go back to hell. He had to do it to save Chloe's life.
The report said that Chloe's health had been deteriorating and the only way for Lucifer to save her is to get the cure from Dr. Jason Carlisle (Tim DeKay) who is already in hell. But during the course of trying to look for a cure for Chloe, Lucifer has stumbled upon the truth of the things that have happened in his life so far.
Rebecca Murray of Showbiz Junkies reported that Lucifer first got hints that things are set up by his father when his brother Amenadiel (DB Woodside) and tells him that he didn't know he was putting Chloe in Lucifer's path. Amenadiel also said that he is just another pawn in the game and Chloe is not aware in any of this.
Aside from what Amenadiel said, Murray reported that when Lucifer was in hell, he was trapped in a memory of him killing his brother Uriel (Michael Imperioli). He was rescued by his mother Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), but in doing so, has forced her to confess that she was just manipulating him.
Charlotte confessed that she used Lucifer's anger against his father and pushed him into Chloe's arms. Upon snapping out of his memory, Lucifer took his mother and they both went back to Earth.
Murray said that upon returning to Earth and curing Chloe of her illness, Lucifer took a walk outside the hospital where Charlotte caught up to him to talk. Lucifer was clearly out of sorts because of the things that he found out, saying his relationship with Chloe is a "long con."
Murray adds that Lucifer can't trust anyone anymore and he believes Charlotte doesn't really love him. He also doesn't want to be part of his mother and father's rift, saying he is done then walks away.
The report from Yahoo also adds that Chloe finds out that Lucifer has left Los Angeles when she visits his apartment. Episode 14 of "Lucifer" Season 2 will return on May 1, 2017. Check out the promo trailer for episode 14 of the show in the video below.
