Emirates Airline Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Woman Dies On the Plane

An Emirates Airline flight had to make an emergency landing after a passenger died on a plane.

The Boeing 777 was flying from Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Manchester, England, when the female passenger became fatally ill. The plane made an emergency landing at the Chopin Airport in Poland so medics would try to revive the woman.

"Medics boarded the plane after the emergency landing early this morning, but were unable to revive the female passenger," Przemyslaw Przybylski, a spokesman for the Polish capital's Chopin Airport, told AFP.

"The flight was resumed with the body aboard," he added. He did not provide any details on who the person was or where the body was stored. Polish authorities are investigating the incident.

A similar incident occurred just two weeks ago. On November 9, another female passenger became ill on another Emirates flight from Amsterdam to Dubai. The plane had to make an emergency landing in the Czech capital, Prague airport. The woman in this event also died.

In September, another woman on a Korean Airways flight also died on the plane. In June, a man died on a flight from Amsterdam to Tazmania. His body was covered and laid across three seats, but passengers still had to sit near the body for the duration of the flight.
