Rockstar Games have always been the secretive company and when it comes to releasing games, it would take a considerable amount of research before anybody gets ahead of the company about letting the fans know about it online. "GTA 6" in particular, is a favorite subject matter among fans and here's what's really going on.
A recent report from Tech Radar seems to be practically the answer to all questions about "GTA 6" and its existence. As opposed to a number of headlines involving the release date and the development progress, Rockstar Games' open-world crime spree simulator is nowhere near seeing the light of the day.
The rumored release dates still aren't something to go about as there's no official announcement made as of yet. In the case of "Red Dead Redemption 2" and even "GTA V," it would make more sense to assume that unless Rockstar Games intentionally leaked something, people won't know a thing about any of their projects. RDR 2 has been announced a few days before its first trailer came out online. Those who are wondering, when a trailer would be out could use this as a pattern.
As for the map, there have been tons of speculations and though most of these are still to be taken as a grain of salt, "GTA 6" and its map is expected to be huge. Not just city-wide huge like how it was with the previous game, but it could possibly be the size of an entire country. Favorite subjects tend to be the U.S and London.
One of the most talked-about rumor is that "GTA 6" might be the first game to incorporate a female protagonist. This has been reported a couple of times before like one from Neurogadget. Though fans already know that this isn't confirmed, the subject matter actually started when an interview with one of the folks from Rockstar mentioned the possibility.
Still, "GTA 6" may be something people shouldn't be expecting anytime soon. If "Red Dead Redemption 2" is to have a similar multiplayer model as "GTA Online," chances are, Rockstar would be more focused on exploring its options and this may count a few number of years as well just like "GTA V" was to its online counterpart.
