It has only been about three months since Google's "Pixel" phones were launched, but already, the company is said to be working on a "Pixel 2." Reports say that Google will once again launch two phones in two different sizes.
9to5Google revealed this rumor, and the website said that the alleged upcoming phones have amazing features. Reports say that "Google Pixel" would bring a "waterproofing" feature, but this is "still on the table." This is said to not have been introduced to the original "Pixel" device because of time constraints, and there was an "internal conflict between hardware (namely, camera) and/or waterproofing vs. price point."
Rumors say that prototypes of the phone are powered by some kind of Qualcomm Snapdragon 83X chip, while others are powered by Intel chips. No specs about the screen size or battery life has been leaked yet. But reports say there are some leaks to the camera specifications already.
The most amazing feature of the news phones is perhaps the camera. "Pixel 2" is supposedly being tested with improved chipsets from two different manufacturers - which will likely bring a more expensive price. The predecessor has a 12.3MP, and the new phone is rumored to not have a large MP size, but Google will compensate on extra features instead. Express reported that the phone's camera is set for a big upgrade, and Google is reportedly looking at a sensor that will phone excel at low-light photography.
Talking about the cost again, the "Google Pixel XL" costs at least $700 for the 32GB version, so the new one is expected to cost about the same - which many say is too expensive, and that that is the only downside of the phone. Reports say that there is going to be a cheaper "Pixel" version, rumored to be called "Pixel 2B", but the hardware will probably be less powerful.
