Kristen Stewart Directs Movie 'Come Swim' Which Is Reportedly About Ex Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart has just added directing a movie on her roster of achievements. The "Twilight" actress, who became a household name after she starred in the movie franchise, has partnered with Refinery29's Shatterbox Anthology for her directorial debut movie "Come Swim."

It will premiere on this year's Sundance Film Festival, which started last January 19 and will end on January 29. InStyle reports that the short film will be about 17 minutes long and will tell of one man's day as he is overcome and starved by water. It details the emotions of the character, and Stewart did not deny that heartbreak is at the center of the short film, which will show both abstract representations and realistic scenes to portray the everyday life of the main character. Starzpost cites Stewart in an interview saying that the movie is like "full-frontal heartbreak."

"It's that first fall to this existential netherworld. You can attack yourself with memories, or, depending on perspective, you can take a step back and say, 'Actually, it wasn't so bad. That was fun, we did have fun and it was nice,'" she says.

Kristen Stewart seems to be drawing from her own past heartbreaks as the inspiration for the short film. Her most infamous relationship is of course with former co-star Robert Pattinson. The two dated for several years before a scandal happened. Stewart was caught kissing her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, who at that time was married.

Stewart did not explicitly say that Pattinson was the only one she drew from. It's not just one relationship, but all of her past relationships as well. Before Pattinson, she had dated actor Michael Angarano, who she co-starred with in the movie "Speak."

Her foray into making a short film has encouraged Stewart to try and create another movie. But this time she would like to create a full length one.
