More fans of Studio Ghibli and Bandai Namco's upcoming epic RPG "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" could rejoice as the game breaks its boundaries of being a PlayStation 4 exclusive. The popular JRPG game franchise will finally be embraced by PC gamers soon.
RPGsite.net recently reported about the good news of Bandai Namco's extension to its PC gamer fanbase. The first "Ni no Kuni" game was exclusively available with the PlayStation 3 and it stayed that way in the first few years that "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" after it was revealed at PSX 2015.
Dubbing it as "a love letter to fans," the game's sequel will now be brought to the PC. There's also going to be no need for the game to be translated to English as well as there would be a simultaneous global release according to US Gamer. The publisher made a good move after the first game had an almost two-year gap between the Japanese and localized version.
The first game was mainly a collaboration work between Level-5 Studio, who was behind the popular title "Scribblenauts" and world-famous anime studio, Studio Ghibli. However, "Ni no Kuni II" will be more of an independent work by Level-5 alone, though still with some influences from the former partner studio.
However, there are still no figures of when, exactly the game will be out, though it will be available on both the PlayStation 4 and via Steam. Its latest update was shown at last year's PlayStation Experience, which also highlighted even more gameplay mechanics.
"Ni no Kuni II" will also be more of an action RPG compared to the more traditional turn-based approach of the first game in the series. However, the first game got extremely high review scores, making the expectations equally high for the next installment.
