iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Source Code Leaked And Posted Online After Luca Todesco Rage Quits

Jailbreaking the iOS 10.2 has been a real pain and it still is. However, a source code for the supposedly exploit tool in development has been released in public, letting some fans and fellow hackers get a shot at getting things done their way and hopefully, in an even more timely manner.

According to what have been reported at iClarified, hacker Luca Todesco have recently made his work in progress with the jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2. The source code has been posted at GitHub, publicly available for anyone who would like to continue working on the unreleased jailbreak tool.

Simply put, Todesco had to call it quits after seemingly getting outright frustrated with his work and this had been aggregated further by entitled "fans," who have been closely watching his progress. Through his own words, he said that he'll stop his public iOS research at 10.2 as the "idiocy" of the jailbreak community was too much for him to handle.

As Wccftech states, the source code is available for just about anybody, but it is highly recommended for developers only. One of the primary reasons to this is the fact that it is entirely incomplete. Using it as it is will present even more problems with the later version of iOS and such cases can even take place with educated developers themselves.

At the moment, there's no telling whether Todesco would continue working on the iOS 10.2 jailbreak tool, but with the source code being public, there's just too many possibilities to overlook. Those who are still eagerly looking for a jailbreak solution best see to it that their devices stick with iOS 10.2 Otherwise, downgrading right now or as soon as possible is essential while Apple still signs the operating system.

Those who have already upgraded to iOS 10.2.1, however, introduced a number of bug fixes and another step further to better stability and performance. The iOS 11 might even be better and soon, the need for a jailbreak tool might be that significant anymore.
