Mandy Moore, Shane West Looked Back On 'A Walk To Remember' Fifteen Years Later; Moore Explains Why She Went Brunette On Film

Mandy Moore and Shane West take down the memory lane as they looked on back one of the best novels turned movie of Nicholas Sparks, "A Walk to Remember". Fifteen years ago on Wednesday, January 25, 2002 was the exact date when the adaptation of Spark's novel was strolled in movie theatres across the countries of the world.

It starred the sweet-pop star icon Mandy Moore and the rising TV and film actor Shane West. The movie during those times was as an entry in a long line of Spark's book-to-movie adaptation. "A Walk to Remember" significantly satisfies the simple formula of romance, falling in love for each other and becoming better people together, EW reported.

The love story worked as it didn't try to be more than that. It was a sweet story imploring a warm message in an age where you had to go through your crush' house and get into it bullying him. As it celebrates fifteen years anniversary, Moore thought that it was an overwhelming, memorable and positive experience for her. It was her first leading role and it was the first film she has worked on. More of the role she portrayed, Moore added that it was her first time to have that camp-like shoot at North Carolina.

Shane West on the other hand, also added that it was a genuine and phenomenal experience for him. From the start up to the end, his experience was wonderful all because of their director, Adam Shankman. He made sure that he kept everyone invested and in good mood especially for some dramatic things, West added.

Meanwhile, Moore sat together with People and explained why she went brunette during those times of the film. She explained that she was blonde then. It was a transformation for her since she came from the pop music world. That was a real significant reason of coloring her hair to blonde, she added.
