Edward Majerczyk established a phishing activity to lure unsuspecting victims to give out their usernames and passwords according to BBC.
During the arraignment, he gave a guilty plea to one count of unauthorized access to a private account to obtain information. He was ordered to compensate £4,900 to a victim after her private photos were leaked online.
Last year, another hacker was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for the same crime. Ryan Collins of Lancaster Pensylvania was also sentenced for violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Collins hacked 600 accounts mostly owned by celebrities like Kirsten Dunst, Aubrey Plaza, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, Kaley Cuoco and Lawrence. The "X-Men Apocalypse" actress sex videos and nude photos were leaked online.

According to the Guardians Collins tricked the victims into giving their information by sending them fake emails that appear to be from Google and Apple. He was first charged in Los Angeles but was later to his hometown of Pensylvania. He was ordered to pay $250,000 as fine and five years in jail.
Another hacker named Andrew Helton was sentenced to six months imprisonment and was ordered to pay a fine of $3,000. The hacking of private accounts is a violation of the law.
