Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is 90 years old and as a royal protocol, when the member of the family reaches 90, he or she delegates some official duties. This has been done by the Queen even before she got sick. Queen Elizabeth II's health is getting better and will appear in public soon.
The Queen missed Christmas and New Year's Day church services due to heavy colds asreported by Express. Although during those times she was up and about but for precautionary measures, she stayed at the palace.
Last Sunday, the Queen was able to attend church service at the St. Mary's Church in Flitcham, England. This is the first time she stepped out of the royal residence after her ailment. She traveled for more than one hour to reach the church.
She is scheduled to fly with Prince Charles to attend the Fiji Exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich. She will be there on the 27th of January according to Yahoo. This will be her second long travel since she got sick. Norwich is not so far as it takes only two hours and a half to get there.
Her Majesty has regained her strength and can now fulfill her remaining duties. It can be recalled that she has delegated some of her duties to various organizations upon reaching her 90th birthday. Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton were some of the younger royal family members who were assigned queenly duties.
When the time comes that Queen Elizabeth II's health will not allow her to work, she will vacate the throne. Her son who is first in line to the throne will sit as King. Prince Charles' heir to the throne is Prince William then followed by Prince George. The longest ruling monarchy is ready to relinquish her throne to the 68-year-old former husband of Princess Diana.
