Sony PlayStation Game: Fans Baffled Why Sony Is Promoting Visually Poor Games

Earlier this month, a trailer for a new game titled "Life of Black Tiger" was uploaded to the official PlayStation YouTube channel. The game appears to be a port of a free-to-play mobile game and it really doesn't look impressive from a visual standpoint. It has even sparked a discussion among fans who have been left baffled as to why Sony would even promote a PS4 game that clearly doesn't make full use of the console's graphical capabilities.

The trailer for "Life of Black Tiger" was originally uploaded on January 12, but was taken down after receiving plenty of backlash from fans. The video then mysteriously disappeared from YouTube for a while, but has since returned. As of this writing, the video has 799,349 views and 31,506 dislikes - and there is a good reason for this, too.

The game looks like it's displaying PS1 level graphics and the animations shown in the trailer make the tiger and the other creatures it interacts with look extremely stiff. According to Kotaku, even the music from the trailer sounds like it was copied from an anime. Eurogamer has also bashed the game's horrendous frame rate saying it looks like it is in the single digit mark.

YouTube personality Jim Sterling gave the $9.99 game a try and even posted a playthrough of it on his channel. As it turns out, the game is as bad as it looks with Sterling saying it could be the worst game he has ever played on a console.

Not only were the game's bad graphics criticized, but its poor controls and shallow gameplay mechanics were also subjected to some verbal trashing. He event went as far as to compare the game to some of the poorly received titles that you might find on the bottom barrel of Steam, and not on a console.

What is even more surprising is "Life of Black Tiger" is not the only graphically inferior game that the Sony has promoted. One game that Sony promoted and drew the ire of fans is "Solbain: Knight of Darkness." The game was promoted last year and was heavily criticized for ripping off certain musical scores and art.
