Cassey Affleck and Rooney Mara are together again in the film of Director David Lowery after having worked together in "Ain't Them Bodies Saints." Lowery, after his wrapped up project in a Disney movie remake, now dive into a new film entitled "A Ghost Story." This is a kind of film that cost next to nothing since he only took most of the shoot in a single house and called for some few effects as the ghost wears a bed sheet like most of the movies did.
The film will feature a story about a certain figure which returns from death to keep watch over life he once lived and for the home he once loved. The movie is expected to open with a quote from Virginia Wolf Story "A Haunted House" upon saying "Whatever hour you woke, there is a door shutting." According to Hollywood Reporter, Lowery has acknowledged the slow-cinema model of Asian directors as an influence in the creation of his film.
On this movie, Affleck and Mara will be playing as an unnamed couple. In their dialogue snippets, the wife will be observed to favor to move a house somewhere more modern and less isolated while her husband feels somewhat a strong attachment to their current home.
"A Ghost Story" has been inspired by the argument made by the director and his wife where they didn't want to abandon their old house; where they hear echoes of the memories and even the past tenants who had resided on it.
According to Variety, Lowery offers audiences an alternative view of what super naturals are. In the movie, a certain tragedy will transform the lives of the couple but however, the filmmaker didn't focus on the traumatic moment but on the aftermath of the accident. The film will feature a beautiful idea, original and true enough of a ghost's existence.
