Danielle Fishel, Ben Savage to Star in Sequel to Hit Show "Boy Meets World"

For nineties kids, the tv show, "Boy Meets World" starring teenage Cory, Shawn, Topanga, and their friends, was a weekly affair. Now, due to the show's overwhelming popularity, a sequel could be made called, "Girl Meets World." Entertainment Weekly reported that Disney sent out a cast breakdown for the sequel which will be about Cory and Topanga's daughter.

Entertainment Weekly reported, "The breakdown gives descriptions for two of Girl's main characters: Riley Matthews, 13-year-old daughter of Cory and Topanga, and Maya Nolastname, her Shawn-esque BFF. Among other things, these blurbs reveal that the Matthewses also have a 14-year-old son named Elliot, that Maya's going to be "dark and edgy," whatever that means on a Disney Channel sitcom, and that Cory is apparently working as a history teacher at Maya's middle school."

The original Boy Meets World starred Ben Savage as Cory Matthews and Danielle Fishel as Topanga Lawrence, his long-time love. The show ended in the 2000. CNN did a recap of what the cast has been up to all these years. Ben Savage who was the leading man in the show, starred in it from 1993 to 2000. The show followed him from middle school to college to marrying Topanga. Now Matthews is 32 and has continued to act. CNN reports that he has been in shows like "Without a Trace," "Chuck" and "Bones."

Danielle Fishel, 31, who played adorable Topanga in the show is currently the host of Style's "The Dish" and a special correspondent for "The Tyra Banks Show." Cory's dreamy best friend, Shawn Hunter played by Rider Strong continued to act in shows and movies including 2002's "Cabin Fever." He graduated from Columbia in 2004 and has been writing and directing projects.
