Candy Crowley had a duty to remain objective when she moderated the presidential debate, but with a recent slip of the tongue, she may have revealed her true feelings about who should win the 2012 election.
During Sunday's State of the Union, Crowley made a mistake while speaking with Ohio Senator Rob Portman. Crowley accidentally called Republican nominee Mitt Romney "President Romney." Crowley quickly corrected herself and the two laughed about the incident, but they soon moved on as if nothing happened.
During the show, Crowley said:"You have in Ohio a jobless rate that is better than the nationwide jobless rate, and you have an auto bailout that the President put in place that's highly popular. What is it in this state that makes you think that President Romney, uh, sorry, Governor Romney can overcome those particular statistics and the feel of the voters?"
"I like your Freudian slip on President Romney,"Senator Portman responded with a smile. That sounded good."
Some think that Crowley may have revealed a preference for Romney, which excited the GOP and angered the democrats, but it seems like it was nothing more than an innocent mistake.
When Crowley moderated the second presidential debate on October 16, some believed that she showed favoritism towards President Obama. She gave President Obama more speaking time and at one point, she seemed to back up President Obama in regards to a comment about his response to the attacks on Libya.
