Shaquille O'Neal is well known as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. His talents have afforded him to own a palatial mansion in Miami which boasts a number of outrageous amenities. TMZ reported that the basketball legend has purchased a new regular sized house, in addition to his mansion. TMZ reported that Shaq has purchased a $235 k house a mere 30 miles away from his 70,000 square foot mansion.
TMZ reported that Shaq's current abode is an 11 bedroom 13 bath mansion in Orlando, Florida. The basketball star who is worth a reported $250 million bought a smaller, regular sized, home that is 3,000 square feet in Mount Dora, Florida.
TMZ reported his current house also has a huge basketball court. TMZ says about Shaq's new purchase,
It's unclear WHY the Shaq-ster bought the spare pad ... Investment? Gift? Kicks and giggles? But we do know the house is pretty nice -- for those of us not sitting on fat bank accounts."
The smaller home is a 5 bedroom, 4 bath seemingly normal looking house. Shaq began his NBA career as the number 1 overall pick in 1992 and has played from a number of teams including Magic, Lakers, Heat, Suns, Cavs and Celtics. Shaquille O'Neal's expansive career includes being Rookie of the Year in 1992-93 and has won three consecutive championships in 2000-2002. He played for the Boston Celtics from 2010-2011 before he officially retired.
