A video has gone viral of a 4-year-old girl crying about being tired of the Presidential camapaign. In the video, Abigael Evans, of Colorado, tells her mother Elizabeth Evans that she is tired. She says, "I'm tired - I'm tired of Bronco Bama and Mitt Romney," as tears flow down her face.
Her mother said that the child started to cry after "one too many mentions of the election" on NPR news. Her mother says in the video, It'll be over soon, Abby," her mother is heard saying on the video. "The election will be over soon."
In response to the crying child, NPR made an apology. NPR correspondent Mark Memmott wrote on NPR's website, "On behalf of NPR and all other news outlets, we apologize to Abigael and all the many others who probably feel like her. We must confess, the campaign's gone on long enough for us, too. Let's just keep telling ourselves: 'Only a few more days, only a few more days, only a few more days.'"
The Los Angeles Times also reported that NPR Politics also sent Abigael a pin.
By Thursday afternoon nearly 2 million people have viewed the YouTube video making Abigael a viral sensation. Almost ten thousand people gave the video a thumbs up.
The long campaign trail is over in less than a week, with voting culminating on Nov. 6. Very soon the nation will know who our next president will be. Barack Obama or Mitt Romney? Or as Abigael would say "Bronco Bama" or Mitt Romney?
