"Twin Peaks" premiere date was already announced and after which trailers were released. One of them shows Kyle MacLachlan as the FBI Agent Dale Cooper.
The movie will have a two-hour premiere on May 21 at 9 PM ET as reported by Game Spot. The show will run a total of 18 hours said Showtime CEO David Nevins. During the Television Critics Association press tour he revealed that after the 18-hour run, the next two episodes will be seen online.
A teaser showing David Lynch as the FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole snacking on a donut has been released. Another one shows composer Angelo Badalamenti performs some of the haunting music of the show. An on-set footage and interviews with the cast were also released to create interest in the remake of the famous "Twin Peaks."
The film ran from 1990-91 then followed by a prequel the following titled "Fire Walk With Me." More than two decades have passed before the revival. In October 2016, "The Secret History of Twin Peaks" was released. It was a book about the history of the town in the title.
The Verge reported that aside from the teasers and trailers, nothing much has been shared about the revival except the cast. Trent Reznor, Naomi Watts, Michael Cera will join Lynch, MacLachlan, and Badalamenti. They will be returning to the mysterious town for unknown reasons.
"Twin Peak" is about a high school student named Laura Palmer who was murdered. She was the homecoming queen before she was murdered. She lives a double life - cheats on her boyfriend is addicted to cocaine and prostitutes her with the help of a driver.
Kyle MacLachlan playing FBI Agent Dale Cooper investigates and murder and was able to solve it. But he returns to "Twin Peaks" to investigate. Watch the trailer below:
