Nintendo Switch And Its Unconvincing Presentation Could Be A Bad Start

Nintendo's lineup of games for the switch, despite few in numbers, were strong enough to warrant all the attention from every gamer in the world. However, the revelation of the console itself seems a bit lacking, putting off some expectations down.

A couple negative reactions started surfacing after Nintendo's big event presenting their latest console. One particular post from Game Headquarters tackles the "atrocious" reveal of the hybrid platform due to the lack of detail and the less than consumer-friendly price ranges.

In terms of specifications, the Nintendo switch presentation also missed tons of important details that consumers and fans were eagerly waiting for months now. Instead, the focus was on the system's battery life, which is also nowhere near impressive being 2.5 - 6 hours on regular use.

As also posted at We Got This Covered, some unnecessary specs also took too much time getting explained wherein people were already aware of. Some of the specs were also way too lacking, giving the impression of a $299 console being too expensive for what it is good for.

This counts the slightly disappointing 32GB internal memory, a sub HD resolution of 1280x720 6.2" screen and some mystery specs, which were left out. This is on top of what seems to be overly priced accessories ranging between $69.99 - $89.99 per controller set.

Some even deem the upcoming console to be sharing the same fate with the Wii U soon, though it may still be too early to assume. The amount of titles aren't all too impressive and one saving grace called "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" isn't an exclusive. This may particularly kill some potential sales for the switch with people who already own the Wii U.

Still, there may be hope for the Nintendo Switch with first party titles like "Super Mario Odyssey," though it may not be enough alone. The next Zelda game isn't an exclusive and the wildly popular game "Splatoon 2" sequel isn't a launch title. The hype for the system may be dying and Nintendo has to do something about it real quick.
