Today is World Pasta Day! Every year on October 25, the world celebrate pasta and some restaurants are serving free pasta to celebrate.
World Pasta Day began on October 25, 1995, when the World Pasta Congress was held. World Pasta Day celebrates pasta through events and promotions in different countries around the world. The goal of World Pasta Day is to draw attention to the tasty food.
According to pasta maker, Barilla, 89 percent of people agree that pasta is a meal that the whole family enjoys and 90 percent of parents think it's an easy family meal to make.
To celebrate the day, some franchises are offering special deals and are even giving away free pasta!
Olive Garden
The family franchise is celebrating World Pasta day by letting kids 12 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée. The adult entrée does not include their infamous soup, salad or pizza, but all other meals apply. To get this offer, you must present a coupon found here. The coupon is limited to two free kids meals with the purchase of two dinner entrees. It cannot be combined with other offers.

This Italian franchise is offering a Free Individual Portion of Spaghetti with meat sauce or marinara sauce, with the purchase of any Buca small or Buca large Pasta, Baked Pasta, or Entrée. When you dine in at Buca de Beppo on World Pasta Day, you'll also get a free one pound bag of Rummo Spaghetti so you can make your own pasta dish at home. Visitors also get another $10 off coupon to use during a future visit.
