Microsoft will finally release the long anticipated Windows 8 operating system. Windows 8 will be launched on Thursday, October 25 during an event which will be live streamed on video for all to see.
The Windows 8 release event isn't like Apple announcements, in which there is no confirmation of what they will be revealing. The Microsoft event on Thursday is specifically made to debut Windows 8. The event is held in New York, beginning at 11:15 a.m. EST and Windows 8 will be released to users at midnight following the event. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will be introducing the new operating system.
Windows 8 will be available on all new PCs and laptops. It will also be available on tablets, such as the new Microsoft Surface. The new Windows Phone 8 will also operate with Windows 8.
Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 have all been pretty similar, but Windows 8 is all new. For a few review of the new product, check out PC World.

In addition to Windows 8, Microsoft also recently introduced its new Surface tablet. Microsoft Surface with Windows RT is available for purchase on October 26 and it is sure to be a success.
