JetBlue Now Offers Fly-Fi: The First Airline To Provide Free Wi-Fi To All passengers

JetBlue Fly-Fi is the first free in-flight Wi-Fi on airline offered for all its passengers on every flight. The JetBlue Fly-Fi has a strong Wi-Fi which allows passengers to even stream movies using it.

JetBlue Fly-Fi service formerly allowed only paying customers to browse the internet, stream entertainment and use their messenger apps. Recently, however, these options are open to all passengers free of charge. Moreover, JetBlue Fly-Fi brags its Wi-Fi speeds between 12Mbps and 15Mbps range. JetBlue passengers will now, during their flight, be able to stream Amazon videos and use numerous devices.

JetBlue Fly-Fi was first introduced in December 2013 only on a single aircraft. JetBlue Fly-Fi has expanded recently completing installation on its entire fleet of 227 Airbus A320s, A321s and Embraer 190s. Today, JetBlue Fly-Fi has become one of JetBlue's most favorite features, joining other customer-favorites like free DirecTV at every seat, all-you-can-eat name-brand snacks, and the most legroom in coach. Moreover, JetBlue Fly-Fi is offered along with seatback televisions and personal devices. This includes 36 channels of free TV, Hollywood movies and curated video from Amazon and PureWow.

The JetBlue Fly-Fi service can also be availed at the gate, where it provides passengers with parallel internet speeds parallel to those found in their homes. JetBlue VP for Marketing Jamie Perry was quoted by Daily Mail saying this is 2017 and he believes passengers expects to be connected everywhere, whether 35,000 feet above the ground or at the comfort of their sofas. He added that they are so proud of JetBlue Fly-Fi, which is the only airline, for now, to offer free high-speed WI-FI, live TV and movies for all customers on every plane.

The JetBlue Fly-Fi service is at present available only over the connecting U.S. For flights coming from outside of the contiguous U.S., JetBlue Fly-Fi Internet connectivity will be available only as soon as the aircraft returns to the coverage area. However, this coverage area does not necessarily guarantee service availability.
