October 22 marks the beginning of National Cruise Vacation Week 2012 and the cruise industry is having a giant sale across several cruise lines. Now is the perfect time to take advantage of these sales and book your next voyage.
National Cruise Vacation Week, which runs from Oct. 22 through Oct. 29, was organized by the Cruise Line International Association, which all cruise companies are a member of. Since it's a national celebration, many cruise lines are participating in this sale. Each cruise line has their own specific sale specials.
Here are some of the National Cruise Vacation Week Deals going on:
Princess Cruises
As part of Princess Cruises' sale, travelers can get free balcony upgrades and 50 percent off deposits on cruises to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and the Panama Canal from January to July 2013. They also have discounts on more than 200 sailings. The fares are based on double occupancy.
Among some of the best deals are:
A 14-day Panama Canal voyage for $1296 per person for an inside cabin and $1896 for a balcony statement.
A 14-night Hawaiian Island cruise for $1,694 per person for a balcony cabin and $1,094 for interior cabins (was $1,790).
A seven-night Caribbean cruise starting at $784 per person for a balcony cabin and $584 for an interior cabin.
A seven-night Alaska cruise starting at $1,344 per person for a balcony cabin and $894 for an interior cabin.
A 12-night Greek Isles cruise starting at $2,479 per person for a balcony cabin and $1,779 for an interior cabin.

Carnival Cruises
Carnival is offering 50 percent off on deposits and up to $300 cash back on select cruises through December 2013. Cruises that are three to five days long will come with $200 cash back per stateroom. Cruises that are six days or longer will come with $300 cash back. Previous Carnival guests will also get stateroom upgrades up to two categories.
Three-day cruises start as low as $139 per person for an inside cabin and $309 for a balcony stateroom and the low prices continue for cruises up to seven days long as beyond. A seven day cruise starts at just $329 per person for an inside cabin and $599 for a balcony stateroom.

Cunard
Cunard's sale includes a complimentary balcony upgrade, up to $300 in credit per stateroom and a discount on deposits on 29 sailings on their majestic Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria cruise ships.

Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian is offering up to $1,000 in airfare credit and up to $250 in on board credits. They'realso reducing deposits by 50 percent and have $300 worth of e-coupons for cruises that are three days or longer.

Holland America
Holland America is offering special deals on cruises to the Caribbean, South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and Alaska. They are also giving up to $200 in on board credit per person and have reduced deposits.

Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean's sale is very limited. They are offering up to $100 in onboard credit for cruises in Europe and it is only for cruises that are seven days or longer and which leave in 2013. Those who book a balcony or suite get the $100 credit, while inside or ocean-view cabins qualify for $50 in credit.
