'iZombie' Season 3 Will Be A Different Show; EP Rob Thomas Explains Why

Rob Thomas excitedly announced the renewal of "iZombie" season 3. The executive producer teased that fans will see a different world in the upcoming season. Season 3 has a much different feel than the previous seasons. He is more than willing to reveal what are some of the details for the season.

According to Thomas, seasons 1 and 2 have big villains like Blaine and Vaughn that did badly. Season 1 saw the showdown at the O.K Coral and season 2 zombie invasions happened. Thomas said that they want to do something unusual for season 3 as reported by Buddy TV.

They came up with the idea of not having a glaring presence of an antagonist in the center of the show. The great puzzle is for the audience to keep on guessing which side is the good one.

Aside from the one mentioned above, the upcoming season of "iZombie" will be focused on the Fillmore Graves military company. It will be a guessing game on who's got the best plan for the zombies moving on. Clive's various reactions to Liv's frequent personality changes will be seen more this season. Thomas said that watching those reactions will add color to the new season.

At the start of the season, Major and Liv feasted on the brains of a father and his daughter after they were killed in an accident as per TV Guide. Major (Robert Buckley) will choose to eat the teenager's brain.

Liv's roommate Peyton Charles (Aly Michalka) is now a series regular so it follows that he is going to have a bigger role. Thomas said that they can think of a good story for Charles since he is already a regular. The Peyton/Ravi/Blaine love triangle and Blaine's amnesia will be tackled too. "iZombie" season 3 returns on Tuesday, April 4 at 8/7c on The CW.
