Michelle Branch Releasing New Album on April

Anyone who was a teenager in the early 200os would remember Michelle Branch. After all, she penned such iconic songs as "Everywhere", "Goodbye To You", and "All You Wanted." Well, fans of the singer-songwriter have been waiting for more than 10 years for a new album and the good news is, Michelle will be releasing one by April 7.

"Hopeless Romantic" is the title of Branch's first full-length album in 14 years. Entertainment Weekly deems it as one of the albums to watch out for this year.

Fans may be wondering why it took so long for the iconic singer to release new material, but the truth is, she actually released an EP in 2010 titled "Everything Comes and Goes", but many seemed to have forgotten it. According to Bustle, Michelle grew anxious over what is happening in her career after her then label did not release her album.

But things seem to be going well with Michelle now that she has signed on with Verve Records. The story of her new album may have begun when Michelle Branch met Patrick Carney, who is the drummer for Black Keys.

At the 2015 Grammys party where they met, Carney questioned Branch where she has been all this time, and that question led to the duo working together on the new album. Branch recalls that Carney, who she is now in a relationship with, pushed and encouraged her to make sure that the album would sound authentically like her.

Michelle Branch was able to connect with teenagers from the early 2000s with her song of heartbreak and wanting, and with her new album, she promises the same thing. She claims that the lyrics to her songs are deeply personal, and would hint of the what happened when she separated from her former husband Teddy Landau, and her new romance with Carney. "The lust, the love, the heartbreak, it's all there," Branch exclaims.
