"Criminal Minds" Season 12 is still on air despite the cancellation rumors and the boycott that fans did as they asked for the return of Thomas Gibson. As the show continues, it is teased that it will be featuring a dark storyline which would be the first time in the series. Spoilers for episode 10 is also revealed.
Season 12 episode 10, titled “Seek And Destroy,” BAU will investigate a series of human invasions in the neighborhood of San Diego, Spoilers TV reported. It appears that rebellious teenagers are vandalizing homes but things change when they started to have that intention to kill.
Meanwhile, actor Adam Rodriguez recently hinted about the upcoming super dark episode of the long-running series. Rodriguez joined the show last fall to play the role of Luke Alvez. In an episode, Alvez will be dealing with a distraught mother played by actress Tatum O'Neal. According to Cinema Blend, the mother has a son who is a serial killer and she is asking for the help of FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) to stop his son for committing more crimes.
Apart from being super dark, the episode would also be emotional. The son blames his mother for his behavior and the mother struggles to protect him. While the mother is doing her best to save his son, her son is just "too far gone." With that, it would be the job of Alvarez to create understand the mother and he son. Alvarez should be able to establish a bond between him and the mother so she would open up everything about her son.
"The episode is the most gruesome that I've seen in my time on the show. It's a tooth grinder. You'll be watching it and cringing with every part of your body," said Alvarez, according to TV Insider.
On the other hand, a new cast joins the show in the person of Harold Perrineau who will play the role of a former FBI Agent named Calvin Shaw. Whether he is good or bad is still in question. Find out who is Shaw in "Criminal Minds" Season 12 which airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
