The new Nokia phone will be developed under Finnish company HMD Global. It will be retailed in China through JD.com, The Verge reported. Nokia 6 has an aluminum unibody design and sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.
The physical home button doubles has a fingerprint sensor. It has capacitive back and menu buttons on beside the home button. The new design, according to HMD Global's press release embraces the much-loved Nokia hallmarks of quality.
The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with X6 LTE modem, and comes with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For those who want to own the Nokia 6, the phone really is China-exclusive, and HMD Global confirmed that they don't have any plans to launch the model in other markets, but the release marks the first step for the Nokia brand into Android smartphones with more to come in 2017.
The company may release other Nokia-branded devices to the rest of the world over the course of the year. Nokia 6 will be priced at ¥1699, or around $250 USD. This new Android phone from Nokia might indeed be the next big flagship of the brand.
