'Elder Scrolls Online' Updates: Morrowind Region May Be Added In Upcoming 'Homestead' Feature

A location from Morrowind has been uncovered from Elder Scrolls Online files. The development map of Vvardenfell has been retrieved from the latest public test server Homestead update of the Elder Scrolls Online.

According to gaming website IGN, the files of the latest update of Elder Scrolls Online were data mined. The update, version 2.7.0, was released on the public test servers recently. It includes Homestead which adds player housing to the game.

Judging by the data that was mined from the files of the latest update released to the public test servers, an area from Morrowind may be appearing in The Elder Scrolls Online. From the files of Bethesda's fantasy MMORPG, a dataminer has extracted a development map of Vvardenfell.

The discoveries from the data mining was shared on the Elder Scrolls online Reddit. Reddit user FloorBelow posted an image of the development map for Vvardenfell. A huge island in the middle of the crescent-shaped lands of the province of Morrowind can be seen in the development map for Vvardenfell.

A size comparison between Vvardenfell, Stonefalls, and Wrothgar has at last been done by FloorBelow. He notes that it is clear that the largest PvE area in the game will easily be Vvardenfell. Even without Red Mountain being accessible, Vvardenfell is definitely going to be the biggest.

The update seems to include a ton of new tilsets. This adds Hlaalu, Redoran which includes Under-Skar, Telvanni, Vivec and Molag Mar, Dunmer strongholds, Velothi with possibly Holamayan, and Morrowind style Dwemer ruins.

Every architectural style in Morrowind is already mostly covered by the tilesets. Since Morrowind isn't an Imperial colony yet, Imperial towns and castles don't exist, so tilesets for these are the exceptions.

Technology website Wccftech reports that inaccessible areas may include the whole area around Red Mountain, Molag Amur, the northern ashlands around Urshilaku, and possibly Sheogorad which looks to be heavily under constructions but whose giant wall of rocks looks inaccessible.

The Elder Scrolls Online is available for the PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Homestead, along with the probable Morrowind content, will released on all platforms next month.
