Top 10 U.S. and International Hotels According to Orbitz 2012 Best in Stay Awards

When looking for a top hotel in a new city, the choice can be difficult. Luckily, travel sites often provide their choices of the top hotels to stay in. With Orbitz's Best In Stay Awards, one of the top online travel companies determined the best hotels in the United States and the best international hotels to stay in according to reviews from their customers.

The winners of the 2012 Best in Stay Awards were determined based on 200,000 hotel reviews that were submitted by Orbitz customers who stayed in hotels since 2011. Customers rate hotel factors such as amenities, maintenance, hotel staff, room comfort, location and value, one a scale of one to five.

Orbitz hotel experts then considered the number of reviews, the frequency of booking and the reputation of the staff at the reviewed hotels to determine which is the best of the best.

"Orbitz applauds the 2012 Best In Stay winners for being best-in-class properties and for offering exemplary service and top-notch facilities to hotel guests," said Peggy Bianco in a release , group vice president of global hotel services for Orbitz.

"According to a recent Orbitz Hotel Survey, 70% of respondents said they not only look at reviews when searching for a hotel but trust them," Biano continued." Whether booking on a desktop or a mobile device, Orbitz now offers over one million verified hotel reviews as a resource for our customers to make sure they not only choose a great hotel but the perfect hotel for them. And, the more social media explodes the more we see customers making that choice based on the opinions of other travelers."

In addition to releasing their top hotel choices, Orbitz is offering a special $50 off a vacation package which includes a flight and a three or more night hotel stay at one of the Best in Stay choices.
