Top Upcoming Game Releases For The Rest Of January 2017

A lot of games are expected to be released in 2017, but January already have tons of offering to anticipate for all platforms. Before the grand release of Nintendo Switch and other defining titles, here are some of the most awaited game releases of January 2017.

Topping the list is "Resident Evil 7," according to Gamespot and other gaming news sources. The game is scheduled to be released on January 24 this year and all platforms are in for a simultaneous release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The game goes back to its roots with the much-needed emphasis to survival and the feeling of being outnumbered and weak in comparison to what awaits for the players. It is also the first in the series to be played out in first person perspective.

Another noteworthy game, specifically for the PlayStation 4, is "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" as shown on the upcoming games list at IGN. "Kingdom Hearts" possibly has one of the outrageously big lore in the videogame universe and fans are looking to see them link up altogether with the bundle and remake.

"Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" includes "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD," "Birth By Sleep" and the "Kingdom Hearts χ [chi]. All these titles are a prologue to the supposedly final entry in the series, "Kingdom Hearts III," but whether it being final is yet to be confirmed by the team behind it.

Finally, there's "Tales of Berseria" for the North-American release. It is the latest entry in the ever-expansive "Tales" series from Bandai Namco, formerly Namco. The game's story revolves around the story of a female protagonist known as Velvet.

"Tales of Berseria" is a follow-up title for "Tales of Zestiria" though whether it is a prequel or a sequel in the timeline is still debatable despite being initially released within the borders of Japan earlier. The game features a battle system similar to older titles like "Tales of Hearts" and a slight touch of "Zestiria."

There are also other noteworthy titles like "Gravity Rush 2" and "Yakuza 0" for the PlayStation 4. Fans will also get access to the first season of "Hitman" in a complete bundle.
