Anchorage International Airport was evacuated on Sunday after someone made a "joke" about a bomb.
USA Today reports that a man made a comment about a bomb at the airport and then later admitted that it was meant to be a joke.
Police, however, didn't see it that way.
At Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Police arrested Peter Friesema on charges of "making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct."
He was put in jail at the Anchorage Correctional Complex with a bail of $5,000, John Parrot, the airport manager said to USA Today.
USA Today reported that the man made a statement after midnight when he was checking in for an Alaska Airlines flight saying something about having a bomb in his bag.
"That caused us and the airlines, the TSA, the airport police, to have to evacuate the building, the terminal," Parrott said to the Anchorage Daily News.
The airport was evacuated and an airport shuttle bus took passengers back to another terminal after 1 a.m. while others waited in the cold Alaska weather.
A roadblock was also set up so drivers couldn't get on International Airport Road, USA Today reported. They reopened the road after 3 a.m.
Fox News reported that Friesma was traveling with two other men that are also being questioned by authorities.
Parrott said to Fox News, "We don't know if this is a credible threat. That's what the interviews will help us determine."
Fox News reported that the TSA and FBI are taking part in investagiting as well.
