‘3 Idiots’ Filming Location Sites: Travel The Place Where Aamir Khan & Kareena Kapoor Ending Scene Was Shot

The movie '3 Idiots' is a very popular film that conveys the message of acquiring knowledge and most especially wisdom among youths. Few of the features of the movie was its beautiful filming locations most especially the final part where lead stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor had their kissing scene.

According to The Economic Times, the final part featuring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and their friends was shot at Ladakh's Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake also known as Pangong Tso or Hallow Lake is one of the largest saltwater lakes in Asia that has an area of 100 kilometers. Extending from India to Tibet, the lake has an altitude of 14,000 feet.

During winter, Pangong lake becomes a place for ice skating. Beautiful scenery intensifies as the blue hue becomes white in contrast and the water from the lake freezes reflecting the breezing sky fall. Tourists could actually visit the place June to October when they wanted to sight the lake in its full bloom during summer. On the other hand, December to February could also be a great choice if the authentic winter view is preferred.

The nearest accommodation is the Pangong resort where in essential and basic facilities are provided. The resort offers a deluxe camp with around twelve neat and clean tents with attached bathroom, a water reservoir, and medical facilities. The tents exist in two types with either single or double sharing schemes. The place also provides ample parking spaces with the view of the tents facing the lake.
