In fact, he revealed that there would be a major character that is set to arrive on the show. On his recent interview with TV Line, he claimed that a major character in Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments books would be on set of the second half of the season.
Besides, Swimmer teased that the newest character on "Shadowhunters" Season 2 would be charming but with a dark side. However, he did not reveal much about the details of the said character as well as how Sebastian emerges. The showrunner wanted to make fans be excited on its next episode.
