Philly Wedding Brawl Leaves One Man Dead

A man died after a huge wedding fight in Philadelphia on Sunday. CBS News reported that a man died of a heart attack and three men were arrested after the brawl occurred at a hotel early Sunday.

The Sherdan Hotel in Society Hill is where at least two different fights occurred at wedding receptions, CBS News reported. "Dozens of people were involved. The brawl spilled out into the street and police were called in around 1:30 a.m," CBS News reported.

Reportedly, one man was charged with assaulting an officer and the two other men were released without charges. Tragically however, a 57 year old man who attended the wedding also suffered a heart attack outside the reception and passed away around 2:50 a.m. at Jefferson Hospital, CBS News reported.

ABC News reported that the incident involved at least 75-100 people.

It is unknown whether or not the man was involved in any of the fights.

The Associated Press reported that authorities are unaware of what exactly started the fights but they do know that alcohol was involved.

The AP reported that there were dozens of people involved in the fights and at least one person had a stun gun used on them by police.

Dozens of people were involved in the altercations and police arrested three people; at least one man was subdued with a stun gun.

Police say they don't know what started the brawl, but that alcohol was involved. Investigators haven't released any of the names of those involved.

According to MSNBC, the hotel released a statement about the fight saying, "We continue to cooperate with the authorities and as this is an on-going police investigation any questions should be directed to the local police department. Our sincerest condolences go out to the family for their loss."
