'Pokemon GO' Summer Event 2017 Speculations: To Feature Surfing Pikachu And Sunglasses Wearing Squirtles!

"Pokemon GO" has lost a lot of steam recently and a few events are held by Niantics to keep players interested in the game. A light has been kindled by the Halloween and Thanksgiving event which promised the most anticipated Generation 2 of Pokemon in the next holiday event. However, the recent Christmas event failed to meet the expectations of the fans and they began to put their hopes on the next event that will be coming this summer.

Yesterday, Mic reported that the holiday event of Niantic where players are given a free one-time-use incubator in Pokestops just ended. However, players are still complaining about the low catch rate of the second generation Pokemon such as Togepi and Pichu. Though the second part of the holiday event will not end until January 8, there's been a lot of buzz about the incoming events which is speculated to arrive this summer.

According to Videogames Republic, the heart of the debate among the players is the content of the "Pokemon GO" 2017 Summer event. Among the top suggestions are the Alolan Raichu, surfing Pikachu and a sunglass wearing Squirtles. Though no official information are released and it's been too early to disscuss a summer event, fans are still eager and excited to see this suggestion come into a reality.

It has been noted that since the holiday event, starting Pokemon like Charmander, Bulbasur, Squirtle and their subsequent evolved form have a higher chance to encounter. Also a Pikachu sporting Santa hat during the "Pokemon GO" holiday event lead to the suggestion that a Squirtle sporting a sunglasses and a surfing Pikachu will make an appearance in the summer event.

Nothing is set on stone and we should take all of this with a grain of salt. There will be a few months for Niantic to work on these suggestions and check their viability. Maybe one or two of this suggestions will be made possible. Let's just wait and see.
