Disney's Haunted Mansion has been spooking kids and adults a like for decades. Now, a 10,000 foot replica of the haunted abode is up for auction on eBay, reported the Chicago Tribune.
The replica is based near Atlanta Georgia and can be purchased for $873,000 or the next highest bidder and will be available for thirty days after it started on Wednesday. The seller's ebay page ,Theme Park Connection says they are, "selling this over-10,000 Square Foot Disneyland Haunted Mansion House located near Atlanta, Georgia in the private gated community of Sweet Bottom Plantation.
It is the only known house in the world that is modeled after the inspiration and actual architecture of a Disney attraction," it stated on its ebay page.
The house was built in 1996 by Mark Hurt and and is being listed on eBay Auctions by Theme Park Connection, which is "known for being the World's Largest Reseller and Buyer of Disney items."
Similarities include an identical welcome plaque and the front façade is extremely similar to the original with four white pillars and a porch. The inside, however, doesn't include ghost and gouls. Instead The owner and designer of the house, Mark Hurt swapped that out for seven bedrooms and six bathrooms.
However, the new homeowner will be delighted, or terrified, to find in one of the bathrooms a hitchhiking ghost scene that has flickering lights and music that comes on when you use the sink, the Chicago Tribune reported.
"This definitely is the most unique Disney item we have ever offered for sale," said Theme Park Connection owner Marc Pianko to Chicago Tribune. "This one is beyond anyone's wildest dream. Can you imagine the Halloween parties you could have here?"
Hurt is a Disney contractor who owns the company Constructioneer, reported the Chicago Tribune. He said, "Walt Disney was the mentor I had but never met."
