The mid-season finale saw the primary cast gather together after episodes showing them apart. Their stories will be fused into one episode for the finale.

This week, Forbes shared that the episode covered "Negan's uninvited sojourn in Alexandria to Michonne and the random Savior lady, to Maggie and Gregory, to Rick and Aaron, to Spencer, to Daryl escaping and more." The episode also featured the stories of Sasha, Rosita, Enid, Eugene and the others all rolled together.

All these are preparations for the upcoming half-season after Daryl resolved to fight back. The mid-season finale promises a return to the intense suspense and thrill of the previous seasons.
