All over Britain haunting buildings lie bare, disused and desolate for years. Here are some of the creepiest places in Britain brave travelers and thrill seekers can explore.
Wentworth House, Sheffield
Wentworth House is one of the biggest privately owned houses in Europe. It has an access strip and there are mannequins lining it, outfitted in the attire servants who once worked there would have worn. If you stand at the end of the corridor, you will overhear whispering and snarling in your ear. In addition, you can hear footfalls running towards you, giving you the feeling that almost as if someone is going to run into you. The creepy feeling will never leave you once you are in this place.
Hill House, Cheshire
It was once a private home, which was transformed into a refuge for the elderly. Many people who worked there have testified seeing ghosts. One specific corridor where nurses never liked going housed the mortuary and carers. Mirror reported that there is a story that someone committed suicide by hanging himself off on that very corridor. The creepy feeling of chandeliers moving dramatically into enormous swings is terrifying.
Tatton Old Hall, Cheshire
This pronounced hall constructed at the turn of the 16th century as a manor house either to the Stanley family or perhaps by Sir Richard Breeton. An old gamekeeper who was rather unpleasant and rather disliked haunts the place. Inpure spirit reported that the ghost of Tom creates a creepy feeling and torments female visitors to the hall. There is a corridor and if you toss an item down it, another will come back.
Michelham Priory, East Sussex
It is an unbelievable property soaked in history and truly haunted by the ghost of a monk, children and it has mischievous spirit activity which is very active giving a creepy feeling for the place. Michelham Priory is the site of a past Augustine Priory in Upper Dicker, East Sussex, England, United Kingdom. The enduring buildings are owned and administered by the Sussex Archaeological Society
