She also said,"We didn't have a soundcheck but its New Year's, baby," Carey continued saying, "It's OK, you guys." Her dancers just went on with their number as she struggled to get through the song. She ended saying that it was amazing.
Right after her performance, social media reactions followed and most of them are heartbreaking for the "I Still Believe" singer. One named Jared Diamond wrote, "When you're Mariah Carey you don't even have to know the words to your own songs." Josh Groban wrote, "Any time one of the greatest voices of my generation lip syncs an angel loses its wings."
