The Tower of Joy or Castle of Zafra, Guadalajara, Spain

An important location in "Game of Thrones" season six through Bran's vision of a young Ned Stark trying to save his sister Lyanna. Built in the 12th and 13th centuries, this outstanding castle is the only building around today. To get there definitely requires you to hire a car and permission from the owners to go inside. The family of Antonio Sanz Polo of Molina de Aragón owns the place.

Oberyn vs The Mountain - Hotel Belvedere, Dubrovnik, Croatia

According to Digital Spy, the Croatian city of Dubrovnik is often used for many sets in "Game of Thrones." The most favorite is the abandoned hotel used for one of the show's most appalling moments. The Belvedere was built in the 1980s as a luxury hotel and was destroyed in 1991 by Serb forces during the Croatian War of Independence. Today, the desolated building was traded at a public auction in 2014 for over 12m Euros to Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg. He is also famous for having one of the greatest private collections of Fabergé eggs.

The Kingsroad - The Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland

The Stuart family planted the boulevard of beech trees in the 18th century in the hopes of astounding visitors as they move toward the entrance to their mansion, Gracehill House. The place has been used as the main road north of King's Landing in the show as well as the scenes where Arya runaway the city cloaked as a boy in "Game of Thrones," says, CNET.

The Great Sept of Baelor - Dubrovnik City Centre, Croatia

In "Game of Thrones," this is where the outdoor shots for the Great Sept of Baelor are taken, while the Sept itself is virtually computer generated. The pronounced stone steps in the central Dubrovnik old town are where Cersei made her walk of shame at the season five finale. This is also the place where she sustained to face off against the High Sparrow until he met his death with countless others.
