Rumors Of 'The Elder Scrolls 6' Release Date Denied By Bethesda's Pete Hines

All the buzz and attention towards "Skyrim" is still felt even as 2016 is coming to a close. With such an immersive series, fans are scrapping for any information regarding "The Elder Scrolls 6".

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" has become a huge hit with fans of any rpg. As a franchise, "The Elder Scrolls" takes a player into an immensely immersive world of unique creatures and characters.

The franchise took off after its massive popularity with "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind." Contrary to other RPGs, their third installment used a different leveling system.

The leveling system required constant use of a certain aspect. An example would be if you want to increase your strength, you would need to use a long sword repetitively to gain a level.

Lore was optional, but when players dove into it, they completely get lost in it. "Skyrim" built on these foundations and made a breathtaking world for players to fight in and explore.

Fans couldn't get enough of the series, and a sixth installment is something that would sate their insatiable appetite for the experience. Rumors have circulated around the development of "The Elder Scrolls 6".

According to an article from iDigital Times, Michael Pachter made a huge prediction that, the latest in the installment is in the works. Fans have jumped on this hype train and expected the next installment to be out based on the said rumor.

The rumor is far from true as the next installment is not even in development. In a Digital Spy article, it was confirmed that the rumor is false. "We aren't working on TES6 at the moment," as stated by Pete Hines from Bethesda.

Pachter then tried to downplay the false prediction by saying that whenever the next game would come, he would certainly buy it. This squashed all rumors surrounding the release date, even on whether "The Elder Scrolls 6" is in development.
