Playboy Magazine released its top ten party schools in America list. Party animals at University of Virginia made the school number one followed by Southern California and Universit of Florida.
Last years champion, University of Colorado Boulder, didn't even make the top ten this year. The party schools are picked by Playboy editors. They considered feedback from students, campus representatives, readers and alumni. They also studied various factors such as male to female rations, academics, athletics and proximity to bars. The Univiersities were measured using a 900 point system including the categories of sports, sex and nightlife.
Other rankings include best sex life which went to University of North Carolina, number one for sporting life which went to Southern Methodist University and best nightlife which went to Southern Methodist University. Worst overall party school went to SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
Playboy's last party school list came out in May 2011. There first list, Top 40 Party Colleges came out in January 1987 and went to California State University-Chico at its top spot. They have also issued party school rankings in the magazines November 2002, May 2006, May 2009 and May 2010 issues.
