Carrie Fisher ‘Princess Diarist’ Memoir Reveals Harrison Ford Romance, More ‘Star Wars’ Details

Carrie Fisher rekindled her glory days in "Star Wars" when she published her memoirs, "The Princess Diarist." It is made up of all the entries in her 40-year-old diary. The most memorable entries were about the Carrie Fisher Harrison Ford's romance.

Fisher and Ford, 33 at that time had a discreet love affair on the set of "Star Wars: A New Hope." Ford was married to Mary Marquardt at that time. Their romantic tryst was the set of the movie in London. The illicit affair continued while filming the movie in 1976 as reported by Independent.

Carrie Fisher Harrison Ford's romance was intense as she was only 19 years old at that time. She told Savannah Guthrie during an interview on BBC that before she published the book, she gave a copy of it to the actor. She also revealed that she had a huge crush on the actor and was elated when her feelings were reciprocated.

The Penguin Random House published book is now on sale. However, she did not live long enough to know how many people got interested in buying her book. Later, she disclosed that she felt guilty publishing the said memoir. She succumbed to a heart attack while on a flight. She was 60 years old.

Carrie Fisher who played the role of Princess Leia shared a comical story of her"Star Wars" days as per Mirror. In her 2008 memoir, "Wishful Drinking," show creator George Lucas instructed her that she should not wear any brassier beneath her white costume as a princess.

When she asked why Lucas told her that there is no bra in space. It was witty of him to justify that statement. He explained that while in space, humans are weightless and bodies expand. So if they wear a panty or a bra, they will get strangled.

The "Wonderland" actress then said that her obituary would run as "I drowned in the moonlight, strangled by my own bra." Many wonders if her obituary will really read that way.

Her last interview was with Graham Norton Show to promote "Princess Diarist." The host was saddened by her death as he remembered the "Shampoo" actress funny and happy during the interview.

Harrison Ford expressed his grief for her death and expressed sympathy to her mother (who also had a heart attack a day after her death) Debbie Reynolds, son Billie and brother, Todd.

Carrie Fisher Harrison Ford's romance will be long remembered aside from "Star Wars VIII." The romance was the focus of her last diary and the memoir was the last she has promoted before she died.
