However, the schedule of events also includes concerts and shows by some of the biggest names out there, starting with Jay-Z, who is a co-owner of the Nets.
The giant 18,000 seat stadium will add more excitement to Brooklyn, New York. The cutting ceremony for the stadium was held on Friday, Sept, 21.
"I think overwhelmingly there is an excitement in the air and some anticipation that the biggest names in entertainment will finally come to Brooklyn," Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz said.
